About the creators of The Wildlife of Limericks from A to Z

 Jean Merrill is a scientist, educator, and photographer. With a PhD in Immunology and an MBA in Marketing and Finance, she spent her scientific career searching for causes and therapies for Multiple Sclerosis. She has taught and led research teams in both academia as a Professor of Neurology at UCLA School of Medicine and as an executive in the pharmaceutical industry. For the past several years, she has volunteered with her husband, Doug Munch, to educate Native American youth on reservations and pueblos in the Southwest in ways to practice healthy living.  Jean and Doug live in Morristown, NJ.

 Douglas Munch is a scientist, engineer, athlete, and photographer.  He has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and Medicine from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. As an engineer, he has worked for Grumman Aerospace Corporation and NASA on the first Moon landings on Apollo flights 11, 12, 13, and 14.  He has been an executive in the pharmaceutical industry and has led his own consulting practice for over 25 years. As a professional photographer for the past 15 years, he has exhibited in Toronto, Boston, and throughout New Jersey. The wildlife photos were shot in 6 countries and 6 states. 

 David Bygott is a British biologist and artist. He has illustrated numerous books for both children and adults. In 1969 David worked with Jane Goodall's National Geographic-funded team studying wild chimpanzees in Tanzania. He spent four years researching lion behavior for the Serengeti Lion Project in northern Tanzania and worked with Dian Fossey sketching gorillas.  David has contributed illustrations to numerous East African guidebooks and to the National Geographic magazine.  David and his wife lived in Tanzania for more 25 than years; they currently reside in Tucson, AZ.
